Write down three topics you love to learn about.
2. What problems are you good at solving?

4. What does success mean to you?
As children we are bombarded with messages about what success is by our parents, family, friends, peers, and society. It generally has to do with money and the things you acquire. While this might make some people happy, don’t assume it will make you happy.
In fact, many adults are realizing that those things don’t really make them happy. What people are truly looking for is to be part of something they care about and is fulfilling.
Write down what success means to you.
5. Do you have any talents that come natural to you?

Write down your natural talents.
6. List at least five companies you absolutely love

7. What products or services do you love but think can be improved upon?
Remember, you are a problem solver. Any company that will hire you needs you to help them solve their problems. This means you need to be solution oriented and have ideas on how to improve their product or service. It doesn’t matter what industry you are in, everyone is providing a solution to make things better.
Write down a list of products or services you really like and how they can be improved.
Q8: How much money do you want to make a year?
Now before you go off and answer “$1 million dollars!”, remember that you need to have a clear understanding of:
What your lifestyle looks like.
What success means to you.
There are many people in the world who make a lot of money, but have no time to enjoy their money! But, there are also some people who were smart enough to make enough money to support a lifestyle that makes them happy.
This is why it’s important to know what success means to you and what you want your lifestyle to look like before you can answer the question how much money you want to make.
The other reason it is important to know how much money you want to make is because whatever industry you are going to enter, chances are you will start at the bottom and have to work your way up.
And that’s ok.
So long as you position yourself in a way so that as your career evolves and grows, you end up at a place making the kind of money you want to make.
Write down how much money you want to make a year.

The Next Steps
The goal of answering these questions is to help you get clear on
– What industry you want to be a part of
– What success means to you
– What you want your lifestyle to look like
Once you are clear on that, then it is much easier to decide what skills you need to learn and what steps you need to take to move your career in the right direction.
Tips
1. Take Control Of Your Life
Either life happens to you or through you. If you do not have a clear goal or dream, then you will end up on autopilot going down wherever that path takes you until you decide to wake up from your slumber and take control of your life.
Wake up! This is your life.
2. Don’t Be In A Rush
This is your life we are talking about. Have the mindset of “tinkering” and testing things out. Have the willingness to go down a certain path and then if you find out you don’t like it, learn from the experience so you can refine what direction you can take. The only way to discover what you do like is by discovering what you don’t like.
3. Follow Your Excitement
Your excitement is the compass needle that will guide you along this process. Anytime you are lost, stuck, or confused, just ask yourself this question, “What really excites me?” Listen to and trust your inner voice!
4. Get Advice From People You Respect
If you see someone who is living the kind of life you want to live, then by all means listen to their advice. That being said, don’t just do what other people tell you to do because they have their own bias. Remember, everyone will define success different from you so while it’s okay to listen to some advice, take it with a grain of salt.
5. Your Career Is A Platform To Help You Grow
What most people fail to realize is that their career is really just a platform that provides them a space to learn and grow as a human being. No matter what industry you choose, there will be challenges. And it is those challenges that will help you grow as a person.
So don’t try and find the easy way out, just focus on something you are passionate about because when the challenges come, you will be more willing to work through them and this will help you grow as a person.
