TIPS TO START THE DAY

1. Plan & Prepare The Night Before

If you want to start the day off right, then the best thing to do is plan and prepare the night before.

Spend fifteen to thirty minutes each night focusing on the next day on what you want to get done and accomplish.

Prepare as much as you can whether its your food or any materials you need so that you will be ready right away to get going.

2. Wake Up Early

The best way to feel like you have accomplished a lot in the day is by waking up early and getting stuff done.

If you get up at 6am and have already accomplished a few solid things by lunch time, your mind will feel so good that it will energize you to get more stuff done.

There is a reason why people in the Army are up at 5am and go running right away.

Bonus tip: Do some jumping jacks or go for a twenty-minute walk.

3. Focus On Your Breathing

Your breath is what sets the tone for the entire day.

The reason why so many people experience stress and anxiety is because they are not breathing properly.

Short and shallow breathing means you are not expanding your diaphragm which can cause your body to tense up.

When you are tense, you can’t handle challenges or obstacles very well.

So start the day with at least five minutes where you focus on slow breathing. This is how meditation works and why millions of people around the world do it.

4. Stretch

You have just slept for six to eight hours. You need to spend some time to get into your body.

Even if its only for five to ten minutes, do some stretching and focus on straightening your spine.

This is especially important if you are going to be sitting at a desk all day.

5. Move At Your Pace

Life is moving very fast. Especially if you live in the city.

While other people around you may be moving at one speed, its important you go at your pace.

Do the things in the way that feels natural to you.

Don’t compare yourself to other people.

This is why focusing on your breathing is so important because it will help set the tone for your natural pace of moving.

6. Accomplish Your Goals

Each day, you should do at least one to three key things that help you move closer to your goals.

Make sure you prioritize your to-do list and get a few things done each day so that when it ends, you feel you have accomplished something and feel good about your day.
