TIPS ON EXCUSES, LAZINESS, & RESPONSIBILITY
1. Have An Exciting Goal
If you want to accomplish more in life and stop making excuses, you must have a goal that excites you.
As Tony Robbins would say, “You must have a vision that pulls you.”
When you are truly excited and aligned with your passion, you will amaze yourself at how much you can do.
The truth is, we all have laziness inside of us.
All of us would much rather be curled up on the couch. It is part of human nature.
The main difference between people who get sh*t done and those who don’t, is that the person who takes action is excited by their vision.
2. Chunk It Down
One of the main reasons people don’t follow through is because they get overwhelmed.
They have a big project in mind and all of a sudden the weight becomes so daunting that they become frozen with indecision.
Create a monthly goal and then chunk it down by week and then by day.
As long as you see yourself making progress, you will feel good about what you are doing.
Take it one day at a time.
3. Enjoy The Process
I know…it sounds so cliche.
But guess what?
Because its true.
The journey is the goal. Stop trying to get from point A to point B and be in a rush.
If you don’t enjoy the process, you are missing the entire point.
4. Be Accountable
This is what separates adults from children.
This is what will help you grow by leaps and bounds is if you accept full responsibility for your actions.
If you mess up, own it.
You cannot change that which you do not own.
People who rise to the top own their action 100%.
So if you mess up one day, own it and learn from it.
5. Pick Yourself Back Up
Once you are fully accountable for any mistakes along the way, then it’s time to learn from it and move forward.
No need to dwell or cry about it.
Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move forward.
6. Reward Yourself
As you accomplish your tasks make sure yo reward yourself along the way.
This is going to be especially important if you have a big project at hand.
Since the “big reward” may not pay off for a while, make sure to do small things for yourself so you can experience and taste the success along the way.
